La Turbie

La Turbie, located on the hills overlooking Monaco, is an historic village famous for its huge monument ('Turbia' in Latin, or trophy) constructed in 6 BC that still stands today. Built by Caesar Augustus to celebrate his victories over the Ligurian tribes, it towers over the village.

La Turbie is convenient to Monaco and the main A8 motorway, meaning you can there from the Nice-Cote d'Azur International airport in around 25 minutes. The views from La Turbie are breathtaking. On some of the many vantage points around the village, views of Monaco and the Mediterranean Sea can be enjoyed. La Turbie has been described as a balcony hanging over the Mediterranean.

Famous residents include Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Beausoleil is a town located directly behind Monaco. Superb views over Monaco can be enjoyed from Beausoleil from many of the apartment blocks and sometimes villas that surround the area. Beausoleil's residents are primary those who work in Monaco.

Cap d'Ail

Cap d'Ail is located between Eze and Monaco on the waterfront. Listed as a health destination since 1921, Cap d'Ail is known for the quality of its water. It is also home to one of the best beaches on the Riviera, Plage Mala, which is exclusive partly by the extreme inaccessibility, with beachgoers having to descend several hundred steps and no direct car access.

With its proximity to Monaco, Cap d'Ail is popular as a summer retreat for Monaco residents and Monegasques. Along the waterfront one can find numerous Belle Epoque mansions with direct access to the sea.

Eze village is an historic medieval village perched on a rocky outcrop that boasts magnificent views of the surrounding areas. Steeped in history, Eze has retained its character illustrated by its narrow winding streets and stone roads. Eze was built as a fortified strong hold which has been described as an eagle's nest due to the views from up high in the village. Eze is a charming village with art galleries, hotels and restaurants, including the well known Chateau de la Chevre d'Or. The village is thronged with tourists in summer and is a well established part of the tourist trail from Nice to Monaco.

Eze bord-de-mer is the area of Eze that borders the sea. It is home to several waterfront villas and apartments, including Bono from U2's villa.

Eze combines a rich history with a great location between Monaco and Nice and close to the beach.
